The Magic

There were a few similar models made in this product segment around the same scale. But all of them fell short except for the CRT .5. The magic of the CRT.5 is that its a scaled down version of a 1/8 Nitro Truggy. Where Kyosho and the others fell short was in the design/features. Kyosho made the Mini Inferno series with a Buggy version and a truck version. One problem was that this was a smaller 1/16 scale so it was smaller. If you have dealt with a CRT .5 then you know servo size and receiver box space is already a premium. The smaller cars made this problem even worse. The Kyoshos also were limited to their proprietary .09 engines. This severely limited the engine options to one engine. The CRT .5 allowed you to use any small block engine on the market. This gave every one an enormous amount of engine options and combinations. The performance of the CRT .5 was also nearly as good as the full 1/8 truggy. Between these things and the aftermarket support the CRT .5 got that is what gave this truck the edge over the rest. And there has yet to be another one like it as good. Many fans to this day call for another production run. They did a mid poroduction run revision and changed it so that you can run full size servos instead of the mini servos.
